I can only imagine the trauma he experienced at a time when mental health was misunderstood and ptsd not even a diagnosis.

Each time there has been forward motion in the city to tell Santos’ story, the renaming, the statue, the funding for renovating the rec center, there have also been efforts from COMMUNITY MEMBERS to support his family. That needs to change:
