Monse works with National Scout Organizations around the world to strengthen youth programs and expand Scouting’s impact through education. With experience in international partnerships, large-scale training events, and youth empowerment initiatives, she brings a global perspective on how Scouting can help young people create positive change in their communities.

Monse Lopez, Manager of Education and Impact at the World Scout Bureau, will join us this summer at Philmont!

Monse has over five years of experience working with grassroots movements, specializing in designing and implementing impactful educational approaches that empower young people to lead change in their communities.

Her work focuses on advancing education systems, supporting National Scout Organizations in strengthening their youth programs, and driving impact through non-formal education. She has experience in partnership development, working with organizations such as UNFPA and FAO, and in delivering large-scale trainings, events, and international conferences. Health and wellbeing remains a key area of expertise within her broader work.

Right now, there are more than 100 International Representatives serving Scouting across the USA, but most have never had the opportunity to receive the in-depth training that truly prepares them to make an impact — or to build the kind of nationwide network of fellow IRs that provides ideas, advice, and support along the way.

🌎 Scout Build Dominican Republic 2026

Join Scouts from the United States and the Dominican Republic for a powerful international service experience through Habitat for Humanity’s Global Villages Program and the Messengers of Peace initiative.

Participants will help install cement flooring, paint homes, and support housing improvements for families in San Cristobal while building friendships across cultures.

Along the way, Scouts will enjoy cultural experiences like sharing meals with Dominican Scouts, visiting the National Scout Office, attending a baseball game, and more.

📅 Dates: July 11–18, 2026
👥 Eligibility: Scouting America members ages 18–26
