We have Jett over two months. He is one of the best behaved dogs and he has a wonderful disposition. He really does love everyone he meets.

I hope people will share this. Encourage people to look at him on our page. It pains me to realize that we’ve probably had 30 adopted dogs that are blue eyed or have red fur or something about them on the outside I guess looks better? So I’ve placed dozens of Mini Aussies with blue eyes this year. They’ve all gotten fabulous homes, but I hope people will look at Jett’s shiny coat, smiling eyes and soft silky fur💜

A Sweet, Gentle Aussie boy loving his indoor life! 🍂🐾

When Colby first came to DASH he was surrounded by his sisters; they were definitely more outgoing at the time and eager to meet and bond with people.

It didn’t take Colby long to realize that he was safe, loved, and surrounded by good people. Within just a couple of days, Colby began seeking his humans —and his sweet, playful, goofy personality is really starting to shine!

Colby absolutely loves being outside, but he’s also discovered that life inside the house is pretty wonderful. These days, you’ll often find him lounging comfortably on the floor right beside the couch. He simply likes being close to his people.

Colby’s confidence and interests have grown. In true Aussie action he shadows his foster family around the house, following along to see what everyone is up to.


Colby is gentle, affectionate, playful, and has a wonderful, easygoing nature.

🧒 Cole with Kids

Cole has been remarkably patient and gentle with his foster family’s 5- and 7-year-old boys, as well as their young cousins. He has handled all of the activity and attention beautifully.

🐶 Cole with Other Dogs

Colby would do very well with a sister - he had 4 that we know of 😂Having another dog around seems to help Colby feel safe. When he sees other dogs he wants to play and socialize. He clearly enjoys canine companionship and quickly showed his fun-loving side.

🏡 Colby in the Home

Colby enjoys relaxing near his people and will happily follow you from room to room. He doesn’t need to be the center of attention—he just wants to be part of the family.

Colby is such a rewarding boy to watch blossom. The shy pup who arrived is quickly becoming a sweet, goofy, playful companion who is learning that he can trust the people around him.

We think Colby is going to make a wonderful, loyal family member for the lucky people who give him the chance to continue coming out of his shell. ❤️🐾

💚💚 Meet JETT 👧🏻 💚💚

This gorgeous, handsome boy will win your heart!

Jett is a perfect-sized indoor buddy dog made of 2 great breeds; he has all of the best traits: loyal, laid-back but up for fun whenever you are!

Jett is one of those dogs you meet and immediately wonder how anyone let him go. He is incredibly sweet, gentle, smart, affectionate, and easygoing—an all-around wonderful dog.

Jett weighs about 60 pounds and appears to be a Border Collie/Lab Retriever mix, but whatever his recipe, it certainly worked!

Jett has a beautiful, fluffy coat as soft as rabbit fur, gorgeous shining eyes, adorable white “socks” with black mottling and speckles, and an especially fabulous fan-tail. His mostly black tail curls upward and ends in a beautiful white tip. We absolutely adore it!

But Jett’s looks are only matched by his disposition!

Jett has an easily manageable medium energy level. He is perfectly happy relaxing with his people and soaking up affection.

And Jett LOVES to be loved. When he first meets people his goal is getting the most positive affection and attention possible.

Jett will be a wonderful addition to a variety of homes; a home with children who are used to bigger dogs, a single person who wants a best buddy or a couple with a large female dog to be a playmate, though Jett is a very good “only dog” as well.

Whatever the family dynamic we’re looking for a home for Jett where someone is working from the house during the day, there’s a nice yard to relax and play in and compassionate, affectionate humans to love him!

🍁 Cute, Cuddly COPPER! 🍁

Copper is an ADORABLE dog and a loving furry friend! Unfortunately, his owner was recently relocated to a station in Japan and, heartbreakingly, was unable to bring Copper along.

When Copper lived with his original owner, she worked from home and was able to spend lots of time with him throughout the day. He is currently staying with her mother, who works long hours in the medical field and has an unpredictable schedule.

Without a consistent human presence, Copper has become increasingly anxious and insecure. We are hoping to find him a home where he can receive the time, attention, and companionship he deserves.

Wonderful With Other Dogs! 🐶

Copper is fantastic with canine companions! He grew up with a Shiba Inu and currently lives alongside a Border Collie and a Mountain Dog. He has a great history of living with other dogs, making him a wonderful candidate for a home with friendly canine siblings.

A 10/10 Out and About!

When it comes to getting out and about, Copper is a 10/10! His owner describes him as AMAZING in public places. He enjoys experiencing the world around him and is a wonderful companion for outings and adventures. His leash skills could use a little refresher, but that’s something his new family can work on with him.

The Best of Both Worlds! 💙

Copper has the ideal energy level for an Aussie. He’s happy to chill when you want to relax and ready to play when you’re in the mood for fun!

He LOVES tennis balls and playing catch, but he also has a sweet, cuddly side. When it’s time to settle in at home, Copper is more than happy to snuggle up beside his favorite human.

Copper is an AMAZING boy who simply needs a patient, compassionate home where he can feel secure and loved again. He would thrive in a household where his people are home more consistently and he can enjoy the companionship of both humans and, ideally, other friendly dogs throughout the day.

A Loving Australian Shepherd and Cattle Dog Mix

Katie is a 4-year-old Australian Shepherd–Australian Cattle Dog mix who has been patiently waiting for her person, couple, or family to find her. She has watched so many of the dogs in her shelter-foster home come and go, and EVERYONE on staff—from volunteers to animal control officers, vet techs, and fosters—agrees. It’s absolutely time for Katie to have a family to love her!

Katie is the perfect medium-sized combination of two wonderful breeds, weighing just 45 pounds fully grown.

Katie is very mellow once she settles in. When she first comes out of her kennel, she may run off a few initial zoomies, but after that, she is content to relax and play with her toys. And Katie absolutely LOVES toys! Stuffed toys, hard chews, squeaky toys, crinkle toys—she enjoys them all!

* Mellow and affectionate: Katie settles in nicely and enjoys spending time with her people.

Skylar is a loving and adorable Aussie blue heeler mix whose blue eyes will fill your heart and soul.

Skylar, 4 years old, was adopted18 months ago and her family adores her.
She has a sweet loving nature and loves to be around her people.

However, her owner has a high risk pregnancy and have very limited activity and she and her husband are very worried that even after the pregnancy Skylar is going to continue to need the attention and affection she is used to.

Skylar has very balanced indoor and outdoor behavior. Indoors Skyler can be very chill; he will play with toys or watch a movie with you or lie around on the floor with a high value chewy toy.

Outdoors Skyler’s energy is also equitable; she’s as fun and outgoing as you want her to be. She is ALWAYS ready to play and go on walks. She can go on leisurely leash walks and/or be a jogging buddy. activities. With other dogs, hiking, swimming, and exploring Skylar‘s energy could be limitless but she will still come when called and behave well in outdoor group settings.

Skylar knows a few tricks and commands and she’s an eager learner and very food motivated so she’ll be a fun dog to train to do more tricks and obedience work.

Skylar loves to come curl up with you on the couch and loves attention.

Skylar has been very tolerant with our young kids and when she hasn't liked something they're doing she'll lick their faces or move away to get them to stop.

Skyler’s very cuddly and snuggly; she has a funny habit where when she is hungry, she'll put her head on my lap while I'm eating to signal that she wants to eat too, so I'll fill up her bowl. 💜

Skylar has never demonstrated food aggression or resource guarding even with another dog in the home. She was really great with our foster puppies!

Skylar loves to roll around in the grass; crosses her front paws when she's upright and looks so cute and proper.

Skylar has always been friendly when we meet other dogs on walks and she did fantastic with our foster puppies.

It is with broken hearts we have decided it’s best to rehome Skylar so that she can regain the attention she’s used to having . Since we have had children in the past couple of years, it’s been a lot more challenging to take Skylar on the amount of walks that she deserves, so she may need a refresher course in leash training, but she will learn quickly be respectful and become a pleasure again to take on walks.

With her balanced energy, juxtaposed, ears, and beautiful light ice-blue eyes Scarlett will take no time to ruin your heart.

💗 Loving Loyal LAYLA 🩷

Layla is an adorable 18m old Mini Aussie deeply loved by her family. Unfortunately, the family’s circumstances have changed tremendously from last year to this and their limited free time has significantly reduced the time and energy they can devote to Layla.

Layla has no behavior problems. She has a wonderful disposition, is sweet and lovable indoors and out. Being in the presence of her humans and following them around like a typical Velcro Aussie are Layla’s favorite things to do.

Layla has a naturally kind disposition and no behavior problems.
She never barks unless she wants you to play with her when hanging outside.
She loves to splash around. She behaves great on walks and she is non reactive. She can be shy initially with other dogs, but is never aggressive and always curious and inquisitive about them.

Having a male canine Companion who is not Alpha but who loves to play would be a wonderful friend for Layla.

DASH knows Layla would flourish in a home where her humans have the time, energy, and commitment to provide the exercise, enrichment, companionship and attention she deserves.
