Was founded because of the love our Founder Yolanda Potter has for our youth. She has worked with youth for over 15 years with the Boys & Girls Clubs and other various youth organizations. She has designed and implemented several mentor programs and life skills workshops to help prepare our youth for the future. She takes the youth on college tours, hosts workshops, and assists youth with every day life skills.

SAN ANTONIO - (Jan. 20, 2019) healing souls, Inc., U.S. Congressman Will Hurd, State Representative Barbara Gervin-Hawkins, city officials, and numerous others participated in the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Wreath-laying Ceremony held at the MLK, Jr. statue at the corner of E. Houston and N. New Braunfels Streets. The keynote speaker was Dr. Colette Pierce Burnette, the first female President and Chief Executive Officer of the historic Huston-Tillotson University, Austin’s oldest institution of higher learning and only historically black college and university. The San Antonio Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission invites the community to the Commission's annual Wreath-Laying Ceremony to honor the life, struggles and accomplishments of Dr. King. Businesses, City Officials, and organizations will lay wreaths at the MLK, Jr. statue in commemoration.
