Official Statement from Musical Angels, Inc.
I would like to share with our community the current situation of Musical Angels and the journey we have taken after the pause of hospital activities since 2016, a pause later aggravated by the pandemic, which affected all hospital programs and kept them suspended for years.
On behalf of myself and the Board, we want to emphasize that we received the nonprofit in December/January 2025 with no funds to cover reactivation expenses and no ongoing hospital activities. Over these past months, we have focused—as time has allowed—on organizing fundraising events, and we are deeply grateful for the donors who made it possible to begin gathering resources to restart our mission.
Reactivating a project like this is not just a matter of “wanting to do it”; it requires planning, calls, emails, meetings, coordinating schedules, and covering ongoing costs. From the very beginning, both the Board and I have personally covered many of these expenses because we believe in this cause and are motivated to make Musical Angels come back stronger than ever.
Recently, Children’s Health Dallas reconnected with us and reopened the opportunity for collaboration. We are now coordinating schedules between the primary volunteer and a substitute who will provide weekly classes to children selected by the hospital, with the goal of starting activities inside the hospital very soon.
Meanwhile, our benefit concerts have been an essential tool to keep our mission alive, raise funds, and cover necessary expenses such as website, email accounts, and event logistics.
With our commitment to transparency, we invite anyone interested in learning more about the use of funds to reach out; we would be happy to share receipts and statements.
We sincerely thank everyone who supports us and reaffirm that Musical Angels remains committed to its mission: bringing music as a source of hope and joy to those who need it most.
