In the 53 years since Cattle Baron’s Ball began, CBB has raised over $111 million for cancer research – most of which has stayed right here in North Texas.

Each year, the Research Symposium offers the opportunity to hear from local researchers, doctors, and community members who provide insight on how your generosity and support of the American Cancer Society and Cattle Baron's Ball impact the fight against cancer. We were honored to have speakers Joe Eastin, Dr. Joyce O'Shaughnessy, and Dr. Victor Ruiz Arroyo share their varying experiences in the cancer space.

Thanks to our hosts at BioLabs Pegasus Park, attendees were able to learn about the research and see the state-of-the-art technology and equipment needed to than cancer.

Cattle Baron's Ball knows the spirit and generosity of this community are leading the charge to than cancer, and we are honored to announce that the speakers for Research Symposium reflect that effort! All three speakers who will be joining us on Monday are from right here in the metroplex.

Dr. Joyce O'Shaughnessy specializes in medical oncology and focuses her practice and clinical research on breast cancer treatment. She joins us to help connect research to the patient experience.

Joe Eastin has spent more than a decade navigating melanoma as a patient. He will share his journey and why advancing melanoma research matters.

Dr. Victor Ruiz Arroyo is an ACS-funded scientific researcher who studies cancer biology. He will showcase the impact of research in the cancer space.

We're grateful to everyone in the Cattle Baron's Ball community for working with American Cancer Society to end cancer as we know it, for everyone, and we can't wait for you to hear from these incredible speakers!
