Armenia, Colombia - Thank you to the Armenia Mission Team for quickly translating this video that they made to share with their church (and all of us who are praying for Colombia.) Practical advice for showing compassion in the midst of suffering an trajedy.

Armenia, Colombia - Sharing this post today because it demonstrates one of the remarkable things about a healthy local church. A church is not simply a building where people gather on Sunday. It is a family of believers living among their neighbors every day.

When we plant a church, we are planting a community of people who can become a source of hope for an entire community.

Keep praying Colombia. Keep praying for churches who are loving their neighbors any way they can. - Kelley Grant, Executive Director

Armenia, Colombia - The 2nd annual Colombian Youth Camp was held at Camp Mahanaim in Armenia. The theme was Luminares (Luminaries).

A few changes this year:
*The churches in Colombia formed a small camp committee to help with planning and logistics.
*18 counselors - More attention was given this year leading up to the camp, to meet regularly with the counselors to discuss the emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual aspects of the role.
*More campers - 110 Colombian youth.
*Support team from the USA - Aggies for Christ from Texas A&M University served in the kitchen and wherever needed.

Thanks to everyone involved with planning and executing a great camp experience! And thanks to Medellin missionary, Henry Duarte, for the video and editing work on this camp video.

Ibague, Colombia - Celebrating this new life in Christ. We love to share good news!

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Connie Zinck on July 31. Our hearts are with her husband Larry, their children and grandchildren, and extended family and friends, here in the United States and in their beloved Brazil. Connie and Larry served as part of GCM's first Rio de Janeiro Team in the early 80's and continued to serve the Brazilian people long after. We admire Connie's love and dedication to her family and her family in Christ. We are thankful for her amazing life of faith.

Please join us in lifting this family up in prayer.

Cúcuta, Colombia - Are you following Mision Cucuta Iglesia de Cristo and Fundación VED yet? Today's the day! You will be encouraged.

Here's a post from yesterday! "With great joy we celebrate the baptism of Brian Montilla, a young player from our football school, who decided to obey the Word of God and take this important step of faith. 🙌💙

It has been a blessing to see him participate in the National Youth Encounter in Barranquilla and in the Great Cities Missions camp in Armenia, experiences that God has used to transform his life.

We pray that the Lord continues to guide his steps and strengthen his walk with Christ.
All glory be to God! ✝️🙏

May God bless Brian all the days of his life!
