Paper for Water is a program of the not for profit 501c3, Keiki International Foundation. We partner with Living Water International and DigDeep and focus on kids helping kids provide clean water and sanitation to developing countries and here at home in the USA.

Around the world, women and girls are responsible for water collection in roughly 7 out of 10 households. Collectively, they will spend 200 million hours every day collecting water.

This means women and girls are predominantly missing out on educational, recreational, and economic opportunities.

After spending two weeks in Kenya and visiting several water projects, our team left feeling transformed and inspired. We danced, sang, played, and talked with so many wonderful community members. Each person we met shared with us the truly transformative impact that clean water has had in their lives.

At the Upendo Kids Village, clean water is helping them produce their own nutritious food. This means increased savings and more to spend on sending kids to school and updating classroom materials.

At the Oyolla community, clean water means community members spend less time walking for water, or suffering from waterborne diseases.

At the Bishop Dan school, clean water means clean bathrooms, classrooms, and vitally, time for children to play.

Finally at Emenwa, our team witnessed firsthand how clean water impacts every single aspect of life.

We are so grateful to everyone who warmly welcomed us and made us feel like family throughout this entire trip. We leave knowing that there is still more work ahead of us, but inspired by the impact that clean water is having in the lives of these communities.
