5 YEARS OF TEEN PREGNANCY CARE. 5 YEARS OF SHOWING UP. 💙
Five years ago, TBHC Teen Pregnancy Care (TPC) began with a simple but powerful idea: young parents shouldn’t have to navigate pregnancy, parenting, and adulthood without support.
Today, TPC walks alongside pregnant and parenting young adults ages 13–23, providing practical support, education, healthy community, parenting resources, connections to local resources, and so much more.
And behind this program are two women who have poured their hearts into making it what it is today.
Heather helped launch TPC in 2021 after seeing the need for a program that would come alongside young parents both in foster care and throughout Ellis County. What began with research, community connections, and TBHC's first foster home specifically for pregnant and parenting teens has grown into monthly gatherings, practical assistance, and relationships that have carried families through some of life's biggest moments.
Haley joined TBHC just as TPC was beginning and eventually stepped into the role of foster care case manager. Having personally witnessed her brother become a teen parent, she understood the judgment young parents can face—and wanted to create something different: kindness, compassion, and support without judgment.
Over the past five years, TPC staff and volunteers have celebrated births, graduations, weddings and new beginnings—and walked alongside young parents through grief, loss and some of life's hardest days.
That's what TPC is about.
Not judgment.
Not labels.
Just people showing up for young parents and their children. ❤️
And now we're looking toward the NEXT FIVE YEARS.
TPC has been fully funded through grants and donations for the past five years. With continued support from individuals, churches, businesses and community partners, we can keep walking alongside young parents for years to come.

WE ASKED THE YOUNGER GENERATION: “WHAT IS A ROLODEX?”

The answers included:
👗 “An outfit?”
🎶 “Something to do with music?”
🎮 “A GameCube?”
🤷‍♀️ “I have no idea.”
…and approximately 47 more variations of “I have NO clue.” 😂

Meanwhile, our resident 90s historian was like:

“Allow me to show you something from back in my day.” 💀📇

And honestly? This is exactly why you need to come to TBHC’s 90s Bunco Night.
