Offering an endless array of foods, exhibits, attractions, competitions and entertainment, the Fair is known for its signature icons - including the tallest Ferris wheel in North America, the largest new car show in the southwest, and the 52-ft Big Tex!

📸 Happy National Photography Day!

Today, we’re recognizing the talented photographers who help preserve the memories made in and around the show ring. We’re excited to welcome back Fields Fotos as the official photographer of the 2026 State Fair of Texas Livestock Shows and Contests. From backdrop photos and ring shots to candid moments in between, their team helps capture the experiences that make the Fair so special.

We also want to give a shoutout to our Livestock Media Interns for their hard work showcasing our exhibitors and sharing the stories behind the show.

We can’t wait to see the memories captured in 2026! ⭐

Validation/Ownership Deadline is Tuesday, June 30, 2026

Validation is required on ALL youth livestock projects (except youth Angora goats, youth dairy goats, and youth dairy cattle).

Contact your County Extension Agent and/or Agricultural Science Teacher to purchase tags.

Validation tags are NOT purchased through our office.

Pan-American (open show) entries do not require validation.
