Polk Youth Services, Inc. is a therapeutic foster care program based in Dallas. We are currently looking for Therapeutic Foster Care homes in Marion, Polk, Yamhill, Linn and Benton Counties to provide therapeutic foster care for youth between the ages of 14-19 years old. Earn a monthly tax free stipend on a contractual basis, caring for 1-3 youth in your home full time. Possible part time positions available. Typical qualifications of Therapeutic Foster Parents include but are not limited to:
* married or single applicants
*21 years of age or older
*all members of the home age 16 and over must pass a background check
*applicant(s) must be medically and emotionally healthy
*financially stable
*proof of auto and home owner's/renter's insurance
*have four references
*willing to attend trainings and on-going education
*desire to work with youth who have challenging behaviors
Therapeutic Care Providers offer all the essentials of a positive family setting including encouraging communication, guidance, skill building and support. Providers work closely with the Polk Youth Services, Inc. team and case manager to help youth develop a sense of security, a positive self-image, and the necessary skills they will need to thrive once on their own.
