Help your community take the next step toward a brighter future! This event will connect community members with the tools, guidance and support they need to become future-ready.

EVENT DETAILS AUDIENCE:

This event is designed for high school students and their families, adult learners and individuals looking to upskill for a promotion or start a new career.

Participants will have access to:

-Hands-on workshops covering financial aid, admissions and enrollment, Workday and more
-1:1 success coaching for personalized support
-An interactive resource fair featuring academic programs, student clubs and organizations, student services, community partners, Phi Theta Kappa and more

Empowering Young Parents Inc Partners with Destination Success Dallas Young Adult Program 📍 What Destination Success Dallas Is

Destination Success Dallas is part of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Youth Program offered through Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas, designed to help young adults (ages 16–24) build skills, gain work experience, and prepare for careers or further education. 

🎯 Who It’s For
• Young adults 16–24 years old residing in Dallas County. 
• Particularly those out of school or facing employment barriers (e.g., low income, justice involvement, homelessness, parenting responsibilities). 

🧑‍🎓 What the Program Offers

No-cost services and support include: 
• Career coaching and guidance to help you explore your career goals and next steps. 
• Vocational skills training in in-demand industries (like healthcare, CDL, dental assisting, and more). 
• High school equivalency (GED) instruction to finish your diploma or prepare for testing. 
• Employment opportunities, including paid work experience (up to 20 weeks) to build real job skills. 
• Work readiness workshops such as resume writing, interview prep, and professional skills development. 
• Resource support like help with transportation or childcare in some cases to reduce barriers. 

💼 Real-World Impact

Participants have used the program to:
• Gain paid work experience and build professional references. 
• Progress to further job training or internships that open up career paths.
