Emerald Coast Warriors Hockey

I grew up in South Jersey watching the NHL in the mid to late 90s. The Flyers were everything to me. Lindros, Brind'amour, Leclair, Renburg, Hextall, Snow, Desjardins, Coffey, Prospal... legendary teams... if some of those guys could skate with their head up....

Who did you grow up watching? Whonwas the team they played that you dispised? (Buffalo...)

I've played football and baseball as a kid. but nothing took my interest like Hockey. I started out playing street hockey, having to call time out every 3 minutes because a car was coming. Then came Roller hockey. I didn't have a lot of chances to play with where I was stationed and deployments. I never in a million years dreamed I'd play on ice... but here we are... I've been playing since 2018 (on and off) and i've met the most amazing people. Personally, I thank God for the sport and the people involved. it's done more for me than i could have ever imagined.

Hey everyone!

I wanted to share something that means a lot to me.

We’re building the Emerald Coast Warriors, a nonprofit hockey program for disabled veterans here along the Emerald Coast. Our goal is bigger than hockey. We’re creating a place where veterans can find camaraderie, purpose, competition, and a team to belong to again.

We’re just getting started, and there’s a lot that goes into building a program from the ground up: ice time, equipment, uniforms, tournament expenses, and helping make hockey accessible to veterans who want to be part of it.

We’ve started a GoFundMe to help get the program on the ice and moving forward. If you’re able to donate, even a few dollars helps. If you can’t, sharing this post helps us just as much by getting our name and mission out there.

Thank you for supporting our veterans and helping us build something we hope will be around for many years to come.

Okay everyone, 11 of us voted, and we’ve decided to go with the more traditional-style player jersey.

We’re planning to use sublimated jerseys, meaning the entire design is dyed directly into the fabric. The other options are heat-pressed, which can start looking rough over time, or fully stitched, which looks awesome but is considerably more expensive.

Each jersey will also have a shoulder patch representing your branch of service..

The Emerald Coast Warriors are continuing to grow, and we’re excited about what’s ahead.

What started as an idea to bring disabled veterans together through hockey is quickly becoming something much bigger. We’re building our roster, growing our community, working with local organizations, pursuing sponsorships and fundraising opportunities, and preparing to get our Warriors on the ice.

There’s still a lot of work ahead, but every new player, supporter, volunteer, donor, and follower helps move us one step closer.

Whether you lace up the skates, support from the stands, or simply help spread the word, you’re part of what we’re building.

Thank you for being here at the beginning.

Emerald Coast Warriors
More than just a game.

A Pace ice rink will provide practice facilities for hockey and figure skating, filling an ice time void in the area. It could be open by summer.

Hey guys. we've had several of you join the players page which is great! but we're not seeing any interaction or responses to posts. I'm not sure if there's an issue with fb where you guys aren't seeing everything. If that's the case, please let me know so we can try to get that fixed.

The Emerald Coast Warriors GoFundMe is officially live!

We have built this program from nothing more than an idea: give disabled veterans along the Emerald Coast a team, a community, and somewhere they can belong after military service.

Little by little, it is coming together. We now have 27 veterans ready to play. We have built the foundation, created the team’s identity, and handled much of the work behind the scenes. Now we need help getting everyone on the ice.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help cover ice time, equipment, uniforms, insurance, registration, and other startup costs.

If you believe in what we are trying to accomplish, please consider donating. If you cannot donate, that is perfectly okay. Sharing this post may help it reach someone who can. Every donation and every share moves us one step closer to our first practice.

Let’s get these veterans on the ice.
