20 days ago one of the RC Family Eddie Doggett suffered a stroke. Thankfully he has started down the long road of recovery. Eddie being the overachiever that he is not only went home from inpatient rehab but showed up and raced at Shaws Rc Track for the 7th and final round of the Shaw's Red River Shootout Series!!

We want to say a huge thank you to Robert Shaw, the racers and attendees that signed the get well cards for Eddie and going above and beyond with an impromptu fund raiser for Eddie!! RC Family Benefits donated $2 for every $1 raised this weekend. Because of the amazing RC community were able to raise $3,000 to help them as they navigate the road to recovery.

Last week, one of our racers was on his way to our track to come and race at our Winter Oval Series, and he ended up getting into a terrible car wreck. Thankfully, he survived!

After speaking with Josey Powell the last couple of days as well as RC Family Benefits, we have decided to add fundraising to the 2nd round of our Winter Series.
1. A portion of our proceeds will go towards medical bills for Josey.
2. We will do either a 50/50 raffle, or racers can throw in items to raffle or auction off.
3. RC Family will match whatever is raised in total!

Josey has sustained some injuries that will require a long road of healing and possible surgeries. He needs every single dollar he can get, so if you have anything to spare.. let us know!

He will be racing with us that night, so come show support by racing with him! If you cant make it to Indy, the Punisher Team as well as WFO is also doing fundraising. Help where and when you can.

Attention racers:

Randy Lathrop, a long time racer and also a friend to not only myself, but many others, is currently in the hospital.

At this time his situation is severe and requires him to be in an induced coma while many tests are run and his body fights to heal whatever is attacking him.

Our RD James Titus is heading to Jennifer and Randy tomorrow in Oklahoma to provide support as much as he can both emotionally, and also with some of the weight of RC family.

Some people have reached out and asked us if there is a way to support. If any of you has the ability or wants to send donations, we can get the money directly to Jennifer to help provide any relief needed.

Jennifer herself is asking for prayers for Randy, and patience to anyone who has sent messages or inquired about the situation.

If any of you are interested in donating or helping in anyway, we have several ways to get money to Jennifer that requires no fee. The main one is below.

What an amazing time outnat Shaws Rc Track for the 2023 Truck Nationals!! First off thanks to Robert Shaw, Sam Noble and the entire Shaw's R/C crew for hosting an amazinf event and allowing us to be a part of it. Huge thanks to all the racers that participated in the auction today and are helping us move forwards in our goals to be better equipped to help our community in their times of need.

It was an emotional time for racers yesterday as they gathered to pay tribute to Hung Pham. We were on site at Indy RC World working to raise money for the family, and thanks to the wonderful donations from the local racing community we raised 3,000.00!

We also did a call to the track one final time for Hung, and his son took a few laps with Hungs car. Racers lined the track, and it set the tone for the rest of the race day.

RC Family thanks everyone who contributed towards this day.

We race for Hung!

August 26th at Indy RC World, RC Family Benefits will be on site as the track hosts a “Race for Hung” at the last round of their Send it Series.

For those that aren’t aware, a long time racer, Hung Pham aka Dadzilla suddenly lost his life while on vacation. It was a tremendous loss to not only his family, but also his community.

The series will go on as normal but we will be raising money for the family as well as auctioning off items, including several rc cars. We have also learned that Hungs son will be there, and wants to drive his fathers car around the track.

Please join us in supporting this family and this community as we Race for Hung.
