Meet Dadong Wan (DJ), who supports Technology and Programming for the Dallas/Collin County ACAP Chapter.

DJ is passionate about being part of a leadership team committed to showing up for families who are navigating the challenges of caring for aging loved ones. He believes it truly takes a village, and this chapter is a step toward building exactly that.

Through his work as the owner of Seniors Helping Seniors, DJ regularly connects with adult children searching for care and support for their parents or grandparents. Many of the families he meets are looking for answers, but don’t always know what options are available or where to start.

That’s what makes this mission so important to him, helping families feel informed, supported, and connected to the right resources at the right time.

One thing he sees every day? Families often feel like they’re facing these decisions alone. This chapter is here to remind them they’re not, and to help guide them toward the help they need.

Outside of work, DJ’s faith plays a central role in how he shows up in the world. He believes in a shared mission to spread love and kindness, and that same mindset carries into his work and his involvement with ACAP.

Meet Dr. Amandita C. Johnson, Chapter Founder/Coordinator of the Dallas/Collin County ACAP Chapter.

She is the driving force behind bringing this chapter to life, with a heart for helping families feel less alone in some of life’s most overwhelming moments.

After walking through her own mother’s illness and facing the uncertainty that comes with a terminal diagnosis, Amandita saw firsthand how difficult it can be to know where to turn. That experience fuels her passion to create a space where caregivers can find guidance, resources, and real support.

Through her work with CarePatrol of NE Dallas, she serves seniors and their families by helping them navigate senior living and care options—at no cost to them.

One challenge she sees every day? The healthcare maze. It’s complex, confusing, and often leaves families making critical decisions without clear direction. This chapter is designed to change that.

Outside of her work, Amandita thrives on challenge—whether it’s piano playing, backpacking, rock climbing, building a cabin by hand, or earning her doctorate after five years of dedication.

As the ACAP Dallas-Collin County Chapter Coordinator, Amandita leads a group of 11 other like-minded individuals who are dedicated to fostering a supportive community for caregivers.

✅Never heard of ACAP before? You might still be living it.

ACAP stands for Adult Children of Aging Parents; and it’s for anyone who’s helping Mom or Dad navigate the later seasons of life.

Doctor visits. Big decisions. Tough conversations.
Trying to do the right thing… while still living your own life.

It’s a lot.😕

ACAP was created to support people just like you with education, resources, and a community that understands what this journey really feels like.

Through free local programs and expert guidance, we’re here to help you feel more confident, more prepared, and a little less alone.

Because no one hands you a manual for this stage of life 📖but that doesn’t mean you have to figure it out by yourself.

💙 Follow along for helpful resources, real conversations, and upcoming events in our community.
