🌸☕ In May, Dallas Legacy Mission was honored to host our 4th Annual Senior Social & Merienda de Té at the Dallas College West Dallas Center!

This elegant afternoon brought together seniors from the Martin Weiss Recreation Center, West Dallas Multipurpose Center, Intertribal Community Council of TX, and seniors from throughout West Dallas for a day of friendship, community resources, treats, music, door prizes, and celebration.

A special thank you to Leslie Rayas for capturing the beautiful memories through her photography and to Jazmin Solis of All That Jazz Cakery () for helping make the event extra special.

🎉 What a great Wednesday morning at our Veterans & Senior Gathering! 🎉

This week, veterans and seniors came together for coffee, conversation, fellowship, and a lively game of Lotería. There was plenty of laughter, friendly competition, and wonderful connections made throughout the morning.

What a wonderful afternoon of fellowship, connection, resources, and community at our June First Friday Veteran Luncheon hosted at the Dallas College West Dallas Center!

This month, we were proud to recognize and celebrate Veteran Women’s Day, honoring the women who have served our nation with courage, dedication, and sacrifice.

A special thank you to Paula Hutchison for sharing remarks about the significance of Veteran Women’s Day and helping us recognize the contributions of women veterans.

🥾🌾 Boots on the Prairie – Veterans Hike & Resource Fair 🇺🇸

Dallas Legacy Mission is honored to partner with Cedar Hill State Park, the Military Veteran Peer Network, and the Brain Health Rotary Club for the upcoming Boots on the Prairie Veterans Hike and Resource Fair.

Led by our friends at Cedar Hill State Park, this special event brings together veterans, service members, retirees, and their families for a morning of outdoor recreation, valuable resources, community connections, and fellowship.

Last week, Dallas Legacy Mission hosted another impactful Dallas Legacy Mission: Coalition of Hispanic Nonprofits of North Texas gathering, bringing together nonprofit leaders, advocates, healthcare professionals, veteran supporters, educators, and community organizations committed to strengthening our communities through collaboration and shared resources. 🤝 Thank you La Calle Doce Restaurants for the wonderful space & food!

These coalition meetings continue to create space for organizations to connect, build partnerships, exchange ideas, and identify ways to better serve veterans, seniors, caregivers, families, and underserved communities across North Texas.

Yesterday, Dallas Legacy Mission hosted our Hygiene Closet at the West Dallas Multipurpose Center -WDMC), serving 77 seniors 65 + & younger disabled 21+ with essential hygiene items.
