Little Elm Lending Closet Little Elm lending closet is to help with wounds when you first get home from the hospital.

We will help you with wound care items until your Homehealth brings you your supplies. Then we would like the unopened ones back to share with the next person.

We are looking for anyone who has had a wound that has leftover supplies. If you have them please contact me I will keep them in the closet until the next person has a wound and we will help them. I had a very bad experience with Home Health not being here for me when I got home from the hospital they had no supplies they expected me to come home from the hospital with them. The hospital expected me to have Home Health provide them and so I had one set.

The nurse changed my wound and when she went out the door the wound blew up with nasty gross bodily fluids and I called her back and she said oh I can’t come back I need you back she said too bad you don’t have any more supplies. I don’t want that happened to any more of my Little Elm friends so I would like my lending closet to have supplies that we can get to you and make sure that does not happen.

Two of the hospitals told me that they would help me with a few supplies and would give out my name to people that go home so if they need help they can call me in the Lending closet. I hope this is a good thing for our town and we hope to get the word out and as we get some supplies. Rhonda

I need would care donations. I’ve spoken with 2 hospitals. They are thinking it’s great I want to give back.

I just don’t want anyone to go through what I did.

This is where the buck stops!

I came home from the hospital with a wound. The home health nurse changed the dressing then left. There was a blowout. I called the nurse back. She said she wasn’t coming back. I begged her. She said no you don’t have any more supplies. Then she drove of

I don’t sit and cry often. I’m going to do something about this. So I did 

I started the Little Elm lending closet.

How this works I take in donations and bring what the person needs when they get home from the hospital. Just enough to help them until their supplies come in.

When they are better they call me and I pick up the extra supplies. I’m ready to help the next person.
