Today, I'm going to re-post what I posted yesterday, in hopes of possibly finding others who wish to help with a donation. We do also ask that if you would, please also share our posts. This is a potential for new followers and supporters.

Hello everyone.

We wanted to check in and just let everyone know we are still around.

While we are not rescuing horses as we once were, (because we don't bring in enough donations to provide for the horses we have, it would be irresponsible to rescue more) we are still very much caring for our beloved horses that are here with us in Sanctuary. They rely on us and we are committed to allowing them to live out their lives with us in peace.

With that being said, we are posting less as to not overwhelm our dear followers with our needs, unless we are completely out of options.

We do struggle each month; we already pay 3/4 of the needs of the horses out of our own pockets, but we do have a handful of amazing monthly donors that help with the enormous costs of keeping our horses fed and cared for. Every dollar received in donations, is one less dollar we have to earn ourselves.

To those people who do still support our horses, we are extremely grateful for you. Even those who help with our fundraising efforts by sharing our posts, we thank you immensely, too.

To summarize what just our weekly hay needs are:
$1,535. per week... this includes all square and round bales. This is JUST for hay. As you can see in the attached photos, the Texas summer heat has dried out what little grasses we had and only the weeds are thriving. This means more hay is needed per week.

For everything else like farrier, shavings, the water bill (huge) and veterinary services, and the many things that horses break, we pray and hope for help as these expenses come out of our dwindling pockets. For anyone who owns a farm/ranch and horses, you know how expensive daily upkeep, utilities, insurance, mortgage and taxes are. We can't get enough in donations to cover the hay needs, so we rarely ask for help covering any of the other daily bills.

If you've read to here, thank you. I do hope you all know just how hard it is to ask for help, especially when so many are struggling, too.

So please, if you feel you can, we sure would appreciate the help. It's important that you know, that every single dollar we receive, helps greatly.
