Dear Staff, Students, and Families,
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved teacher and former principal, Ms. Linda Rhymes. She was a valued member of our school family and dedicated over 40 years to serving the students and community of Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD.
Ms. Rhymes was more than an educator—she was a mentor, a source of encouragement, and a steady presence in the lives of countless students. Through compassion, patience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, she made a lasting impact both inside and outside the classroom.
During this difficult time, we extend our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Counseling services will be available for students and staff who may need support. Information regarding arrangements will be shared as it becomes available.
We honor Ms. Linda Rhymes’ legacy by continuing the work she loved—supporting and uplifting our students each day.
