I’ve always worked to support people with disabilities, but I never fully saw myself in that category, even though my time in the Army likely placed me there. Now, after my head injury, I can honestly acknowledge that I do have a disability, even if it may be temporary. I now understand firsthand what it means to need accommodations just to manage everyday tasks.
Whether this is a short-term phase or a longer journey, becoming “newly” disabled has deepened my perspective. It’s given me a clearer view of the challenges many people face and the importance of creating environments where they can succeed. People are capable when they’re supported within their strengths, and that’s exactly what Mosaic Bakery & Pizzeria stands for.
It’s about recognizing potential, reducing barriers, and creating space for everyone to contribute in meaningful ways. Mosaic is more than a restaurant, it’s an opportunity.

We’re so close to the finish line with our mosaic project, and it’s looking incredible! Greg has put in an amazing amount of time and heart into bringing this to life, and with just a little more support, we can get it fully completed and ready to share with everyone.
Right now, we need to raise $800 to keep things moving and cover the final materials and finishing touches. Every contribution—big or small—helps us get one step closer to the goal.

• May 9th: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

I’ve got a long road ahead with doctor appointments, tests, and therapies as I work on recovering from my head injury. Right now, my main focus is getting better.
At the same time, Greg’s working hard to get Mosaic Bakery & Pizzeria up and running, and since I’m pretty limited in what I can do, we’re hoping to get some extra help from friends and the community, especially during the month of May.
