This is the last day of the Nutrition Education Program in Cynthiana. I would like to thank each and everyone of you for your participation and support for the last 8 years. It has been amazing. To my community partners, thank you for making my program such a success. To those that attended the program I have learned as much from you as you from our program and am truly blessed to have you all in my life.

Nutrition Education Program

The Nutrition Education Program (NEP) encompass two separate USDA programs: The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP-Ed). Both programs are administered by the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service, and target low income families and individuals with nutrition education. The goals of both are to educate limited resource families with young children and SNAP eligible individuals to plan nutritious meals on a limited budget, acquire safe food handling practices, improve food preparation skills and change behavior necessary to have a healthy lifestyle.

The Nutrition Education Program provides budget-friendly (and tasty!) recipes along with nutrition and healthy lifestyle tips for limited-resource individuals and families. The Nutrition Education Program is administered by the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
