"At the top of the list is the Cupertino Cherry Blossom Festival, which was overwhelmingly recognized as a Favorite Festival and Outdoor Event. This beloved Spring tradition, held at Memorial Park, celebrates Cupertino's sister-city relationship with Toyokawa, Japan.
The festival fills the air with the sounds of taiko drums and the beauty of Japanese cultural exhibits, including koi, bonsai, and martial arts. Beyond being a vibrant weekend of entertainment and food, it is a celebration of heritage that supports local nonprofits and student exchange programs, making it a cornerstone of community spirit."

A heartfelt message from the Toyokawa International Association and Cupertino Circle in Toyokawa, Japan thanking us for holding the 2025 Bell Ringing for Peace ceremony as they visit the Naval Armory site in Toyokawa that was bombed during WWII - it is now called the Toyokawa Peace Park.

Gratitude to the Cupertino-Hsinchu Sister City Association who arranged a visit to Hsinchu, Taiwan that was attended by representations of the Hsinchu, Cupertino-Toyokawa Sister Citiesand Cupertino Copertino Sister Cities Associations.

Hsinchu hosted the group for many of the same experiences/sites that the student delegates who visit for their exchange program.

We also had a banquet hosted by the city and were invited to sit in the VIP box for the annual Dragon boat races we were lucky to be in town for!

It is wonderful how Cupertino's sister cities collaborate with one another!
