Each month we will be posting a monthly recap titled “Give a Hoot”! We hope that you enjoy some quick snapshots from the month. Vet science learned PPE donning and doffing, while Basic Ag learned FFA official dress and Animal Science worked on resumes. We also took a small group to tour at UGA. August was lots of fun, and we look forward to the month of September!

Last Friday a few of our FCHS ag students attend the UGA CAES Ag Dawg for a Day event! We learned about plant adaptations at the botanical garden, myth busted at the UGA Poultry farm, ate some tasty “dippin dots” at the food science lab, and handled some incredible crawling creatures at the insect zoo. Students learned about the admissions process and all the amazing things that CAES has to offer!

We are so excited to share about our recent chapter officer leadership training at Fort Mountain State Park! FFA Officers planned out our chapter’s activities for the year, participated in activities to strengthen teamwork, and enjoyed being in nature! We look forward to seeing you all soon and making many more FFA memories this year!
