🏈 CYAA Football Season Wrap-Up – Thank You All!
The final games were played today, and what a way to end the season! From thrilling matchups to unforgettable moments, 2025 has officially come to a close. Congratulations to the Southside teams on winning the Super Bowls! 🎉

Travis – Your behind-the-scenes work ensured our field was always game-ready. We couldn’t have done it without you!

💪🏽 What a season to remember!

Our Minors team gave it everything they had in a hard-fought battle against Prince Edward this weekend, falling just short with a final score of 20–26. Despite the loss, these young athletes made history — finishing the regular season undefeated and earning the title of 2025 James River Minor Champions. This marks the first-ever undefeated season for Cumberland! Huge congratulations to our players and coaches for an incredible run! 🏆🔥

👏🏽 More to celebrate: Our Flag and JV teams were honored with the James Neal Sportsmanship Awards for the James River Division. This recognition speaks volumes about the character, leadership, and respect our athletes and coaches bring to the field every single game.

👕 Equipment Turn-In Reminder: Equipment turn-in is scheduled for Monday this week. If you're unable to make it at the scheduled time, please reach out to Tiffany Johnson or Jolisa Williams to make alternate arrangements.

It's' PLAYOFFS Day!!!! Come to see some great youth football games and enjoy some food!!! Our Cumberland Dukes Minors team is undefeated taking on the Prince Edward Eagles right after the flag game!!! Come support!!!!

Congrats to our Minors team, they are 10-0 and have secured the #1 seed this season!!!! They will play Prince Edward this Saturday @ 5PM at Cumberland High School in the PLAYOFFS. Let's fill the stands for these young guys!!! They have worked so hard this season!!!

Our regular season has come to an end. Week 10 was this past week and our teams played their last regular season games! Great season everyone! We appreciate all those that have supported us this year! Here are the scores from the game against Amelia:

Flag - loss 6-18 (Record 3-7)
Minors - won 32-6 (Record 10-0) UNDEFEATED REGULAR SEASON
JV - won 24-6 (Record 4-6)

The Minors team secured a spot in the playoffs and will go up against Prince Edward on Saturday starting at 5pm. These teams have played each other twice and they were GREAT games! Come show you support to the MINORS team in the playoffs!

Congratulations to our teams on their games this weekend!!! They traveled to Prince Edward Saturday and played Buckingham at home on Sunday.

Minors - won 31-28 (Record 8-0)
JV - lost 0-27 (Record 3-5)

Buckingham Games
Flag - loss 0-13 (Record 3-6)
Minors - won 19-0 (Record 9-0)
JV - lost 2-20 (Record 3-6)

This coming weekend they will get on the road again and travel to Amelia! Come support the Lil' Dukes at their last regular season game!

Way to go LJ! This is LJ's 2nd Duke Shoutout for his behavior and actions during school! You are representing the CYAA Football Minor's team well!!! This is what a STUDENT-athlete is all about! Doing well in school first and sports second!

LJ earned a Positive Duke Shoutout for being determined and safe! He met his daily goals for September at 93%! Way to go LJ! Keep it up! 💙💛
