Our REACT Computer Hardware & AI Camp at Allegany College of Maryland gave local students in grades 6–12 a deep dive into real-world technology skills:

🔧 Disassembling and rebuilding PCs from scratch 💾 Installing operating systems and troubleshooting hardware 🤖 Learning to use AI tools safely, smartly, and productively

A standout moment was welcoming a team of seven volunteers from IBM! Big thanks to Cecelia Schartiger and Trey Clark, along with IBM Cybersecurity Apprentices Megan Poland, Andrew Mauzey, Patrick Joseph, Juliet Wilson, and Peyton Clark. They led an engaging session on AI mechanics, cybersecurity essentials, and exciting career pathways in the tech industry.

Shoutout to our amazing instructors Bradley Ditto, Michael Fiscus, and Barry Hartung, as well as REACT volunteer Caden Riddle, for guiding and inspiring our campers every step of the way.

We're proud to help empower the next generation of tech leaders right here in Allegany County! 🚀

Our REACT advanced robotics camp participants are hard at work learning 3D modeling to design custom robot components with OnShape.

Special thanks to Allegany College of Maryland, Allegany County Government - Maryland, and Thornton Tomasetti Foundation for making our dream of offering this new camp possible.

We are looking forward to our end of week robot battle tomorrow!

‼️We are so excited to announce that our Advanced Robotics Camp is now FREE thanks to a generous donor.

Lunch will also be included each day, and transportation can be provided if requested!

🥳🦾🥳 GREAT NEWS!!! REACT has officially been granted another $25,000 in tax credits for donations of $500 or more.

Donors will be able to claim a state tax credit of 50% of their donation up to $50,000.

Last year, our amazing community helped us max out all of our available tax credits, and we were able to use it for the added costs of Phase 2 of RISE's renovation, and painting our space.

This next amount will fund some of our FINAL renovations, such as new doors and additional electrical upgrades.
