The Crystal Springs Mayor's Youth Council is currently accepting applications for 2023/2024 for 8th - 11th graders who live in the Crystal Springs area. If you are interested in joining you can stop by City Hall or the Visitor's Center in Chautauqua Park to pick up an application between 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. You can also download an application from cityofcrystalsprings.com under the community tab. Application deadline is Friday,August 18,2023 at 4:00 p.m.

Our delegation is on their way to Ole Miss for the Mississippi Youth Leadership Summit today. We are proud to represent Crystal Springs and learn new and different ways to serve. Today students met with some of our patrons to thank them for their support last year and find out their plans for the New Year. We are grateful for our community businesses.

The MYC is selling Christmas poinsettias now through Oct. 30th.
Any Council Member would be happy to take your order. Plants will arrive in Crystal Springs between Nov. 30 and Dec. 13.
Live poinsettias come in a 6 inch pot with decorative foil and care instructions.
Sales will aid the Council in attending the Leadership Youth Summit in Oxford and community projects throughout the year.

Congratualtions to the 2022-2023 Mayor's Youth Council. The MYC was sworn into service at the monthly City Board Meeting. All students had to write an essay, attend an interview, and provide references to be considered for a seat on the Council.

NEWS: GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION WINDOW OPENS SEPTEMBER 1ST

JA awards scholarships to High School Seniors, but did you know that our national organization the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries (NAJA) provides scholarships for individuals working on their graduate studies (post-Bachelors)? Go to najanet.org to apply (click on "Our Work", then "NAJA Scholarship"). For questions or to request a brochure, contact Co-Chairs Jenny Teasley or Angelia McAlister at [email protected]. Requirements include selecting a field of study that focuses on the needs of children & youth (teachers, counselors, speech therapists, special needs, mental health, etc.).
