His story didn’t end in the darkest chapter.

There were people who kept praying. There was grace. There was forgiveness. And there was a God who wasn’t finished with him.

Today, he wants other Veterans to know the same hope and freedom he found in Jesus.

This is why these stories matter.

If you’re a Veteran who feels like you’re fighting alone, please don’t disappear. Reach out. There are people who want to walk beside you.

No Veteran should have to walk through life alone.

Four weeks to go until the inaugural Crystal River Take a Soldier Fishing tournament!

Our heartfelt thanks go out to the incredible local captains who stepped up to get over 50 veterans and active-duty soldiers out on the water for a day of rest, healing, and community. We also want to express our deep gratitude to the local businesses that have already backed this mission—your support makes all of this possible.

We need your help to cross the finish line.

Whether you own a business or simply care about supporting our nation’s heroes, we are calling on our community to help fund the remainder of this event.

As Ecclesiastes 4 reminds us, a cord of three strands is not easily broken. Together, we can build an unbreakable bond between our veterans, our community, and our faith.

I think sometimes we forget that we were never meant to do life by ourselves.

We put so much pressure on ourselves to be strong, figure it out, keep going, and handle whatever life throws at us.

But then you read 1 Thessalonians 5:11:

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”

And those words “one another” really stand out.

Not do it all yourself.
Not have all the answers.
Not be strong enough that you never need anyone.

One another.

God never intended for us to walk through this life alone.

There are seasons when we’re strong enough to reach out and help someone else stand, and there are seasons when we’re the one who needs someone to reach back.

Maybe that’s why community matters so much.

Sometimes encouragement looks like Scripture and prayer. Sometimes it’s a conversation with someone who understands. Sometimes it’s sitting across a table sharing a meal, getting out on the water together, or simply having someone notice when you haven’t been around.

It doesn’t always take something big to remind someone that they matter.

And maybe today, someone came to your mind while reading this.

Reach out to them.

Send the text. Make the call. Invite them to sit with you.

We may never fully know what God can do through the simple act of showing up for one another.

What did God do for you this week?

Every fisherman has a story… and usually a lesson that came with it. 😂

What’s something fishing taught you that you’ll never forget?

Maybe it came from your dad or grandpa, an old fishing buddy… or from learning it the hard way. 😂

Let’s hear it.

Two Veterans. Two different journeys to this table. One conversation.

And out of everyone in that room, somehow these two ended up sitting across from each other.

Sometimes you’re the one who needs someone beside you. Sometimes you’re the one who gets to be that person for someone else.

Maybe you’re doing great. Maybe you don’t feel like you “need” Warriors.

Come anyway.

You never know who might need someone like you sitting across the table.

“Two are better than one… If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9–10

There’s a seat at the table for you. ⚓️

Only a small percentage of Americans will ever know what it means to serve.

And for some Veterans, coming home is only the beginning of another battle.

They gave their time. They sacrificed for their families, their communities, and their country. The least we can do is make sure they don’t have to carry what comes next alone.

This is why Warriors Anchored in Faith exists.

To create connection. To rebuild community. To remind our Veterans that there is still a place where they belong.

Because coming home should never mean coming home alone.

No Veteran should have to walk through life alone.

BIG NEWS: We are officially maxed out on boats and veteran registrations for our inaugural Crystal River Take a Soldier Fishing tournament coming up on September 25th and 26th! 🇺🇸🎣

Now, we just need our community's help to cross the finish line.

To pull this entire weekend together and give these veterans the world-class experience they deserve, we are raising funds to cover the final critical logistics—bait, tackle, ice, and meals for the crews.

If you want to support the mission and help us get everything finalized, please consider making a donation through our secure campaign page. Every single contribution goes directly toward making this first year a massive success for our heroes.

Thank you for always having our back!

Something was brought to our attention this weekend that we really wanted to address.

Because we use the word “Brotherhood” when talking about Warriors Anchored in Faith, some of our women veterans may have wondered if Mess Call is meant for them too.

The answer is absolutely YES. ❤️

When we say Brotherhood, we’re talking about the bond, connection, and community shared by those who have served. But we never want that word to make our sisters who wore the uniform feel like they aren’t included.

Mess Call is for ALL veterans — our brothers AND our sisters.

If you served, there is a seat for you at our table.

Our women veterans are not just invited. You are part of this community, and we want you here. ❤️⚓️

Our hearts are incredibly full today.

Thank you to everyone who came out to yesterday's Mess Call. Hearing the laughter in that room and seeing genuine connections being made was a truly beautiful sight.

We are completely humbled by what God is doing. We are simply vessels trying our best to follow His calling, and ALL glory belongs to God. It brings us to tears to see Him actively moving, bringing veterans in need to our doors and using these relationships to heal hearts and spread His love and His Word. 🙏✝️

To everyone who showed up, and everyone lifting us up in prayer—thank you. God is listening and He is answering.

Our next Mess Call is September 12th.

If you’ve been on the fence about coming out, please know there is a seat at the table waiting for you. We are a family-friendly veteran organization, so bring the kids and bring your spouse. Come just as you are, and step into a brotherhood and sisterhood that truly cares.

We can't wait to welcome you home. ❤️
