🏀 CLS Jr. Gators Boys Tryout Information 🐊

Hello Jr. Gator Parents!

While we are still finalizing details with the School District, we wanted to share the information we have available at this time regarding upcoming tryouts for your boys.

📅 Tentative Tryout Dates

October 26
October 28

📍 Location: Lundahl Middle School

⏰ Tentative Tryout Times

4th & 5th Grade: 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
6th & 7th Grade: 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM
8th Grade: 8:30 PM - 9:30 PM

Please note that these dates and times are tentative and could change based on facility availability. We appreciate your flexibility and will communicate any updates as soon as possible.

While attendance at both tryout sessions is not required, we strongly encourage players to attend both days if possible. This gives our coaches and evaluators the best opportunity to assess each athlete's skills and potential.

✅ What Parents Can Expect

Please plan to arrive early for check-in and registration.

During this time, we will:

-Fit your child for uniforms
-Have you complete a player information form, including your child's top three preferred jersey numbers

Collect signed:
-Liability Waiver
-Parent Code of Conduct
-Player Code of Conduct

*New this season: We will need to verify each player's age and grade level with a copy of their birth certificate. We will not keep this on file; it will only be used for verification during registration.

🏀 What Athletes Can Expect

Each player will have one hour per session to showcase the skills and effort it takes to be a Jr. Gator!

Players will participate in drills, skill evaluations, and game-speed activities designed to give everyone an opportunity to demonstrate their basketball abilities in realistic game situations.

Please bring:
✅ A water bottle
✅ Your own basketball
✅ Appropriate basketball attire and athletic shoes

We are excited to see everyone back in the gym and looking forward to another great Jr. Gators season! 🐊🏀

CLS has announced registration for their famous GATOR ALLEY summer camp!

About our Camps:

4th/5th/6th Grade - This two week camp is split up into two totally different weeks. The first week is full of fundamentals, skill development, small sided games (2v2/3v3), and various competitions. The second week is a league style format that is comparable to a regular season full court league. Each player is drafted onto a team by a Gator Alley coach and plays a regular season pool play during the week capped off by our popular Gator Alley tournament to finish the camp.

Last weekend, our youngest Gators participated in the Grant tournament and came home CHAMPIONS! Congrats to our 4th grade Gators and Coach Sanders for a successful weekend🥇🐊

In addition to this, several of our players were awarded honors:
- Emmett Choklad, Free Throw Champion
- Vance Galter, Three Point Champion
- Frank Sanders III, Grant Jr. Bulldogs MVP
