The McHenry County Rehab Canteen assisted the Cary Fire Protection District, Cary Firefighters Association at their Structural Collapse box alarm the car into the house. No injuries. With Marty Sroka and Pat Trunda and in spirit with Tom Allen.

The McHenry County Rehab Canteen assisted the Wonder Lake Fire Protection District at their box alarm for the High Angle Rescue. Multiple departments assisted with the successful rescue. I was assisted by Lisa Allen due to the others were out of town. With Pat Trunda and in spirit with Tom Allen and Marty Sroka.

The McHenry County Rehab Canteen assisted the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department, Crystal Lake Professional Firefighter's Local 3926 at their Wood Kiln structure fire on Pyott Road frontage. Difficulties were limited access, water shuttle, and extreme heat temperatures. This was Marty Sroka's third callout for his first 24 hour day on the canteen. Very thankful that he was there. The McHenry County Rehab Canteen assisted the Wonder Lake Fire Protection District at their box alarm to the 2nd alarm for the large garage pole barn fire on Barnard Mills Road. With single lane road and tanker water shuttle, we parked about a quarter mile away and carted the hydration supplies to the fellas. With Marty Sroka and Pat Trunda. Tom Allen's daughter Lisa called me if I needed assistance. She is our fall back person on major calls. Nice person.

The McHenry County Rehab Canteen assisted the McHenry Firefighters Association, McHenry Township Fire Protection District at their house fire on Pyndale Drive. Fire was down in the basement and a quick stop prevented further damage. With Pat Trunda.

The McHenry County Rehab Canteen assisted the Lake Zurich Fire Department at their Box alarm for a multi vehicle fire in a garage with no hydrants. The fellas did a good job on the stop. They used a gel type foam for extinguishment. With Tom Allen and Pat Trunda.

This fundraiser is for an amazing event, kids who have been burned get to go to camp with others who are in the same condition as them for free. Help them out by going to Culver’s in Huntley on June 11th.

Join us at Culver's of Huntley on Thursday, June 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a fundraiser supporting Camp I Am Me by Illinois Fire Safety Alliance. Enjoy dinner while helping send young burn survivors to a life changing camp experience, and meet Huntley firefighters, cadets, and interns throughout the evening.

A portion of sales, along with donations collected during the event, will benefit Camp I Am Me and the programs it provides for burn survivors and their families. Fire apparatus will also be on display, so bring the family and stop by to support a great cause.

Better late than never I guess. The McHenry County Rehab Canteen responded to Wonder Lake Fire on Ramble Road on May 31st. Pat Trunda was there in spirit making sure that Tom Allen did things like he would do. I set up 2 different locations for hydration and snacks. One where the tankers were dumping water and the other where they were fighting the fire. They had 2 houses on fire and aggressively fought both fires.

The McHenry County Rehab Canteen assisted the Spring Grove FPD at their Box alarm fire on Waverly Drive. A certain FF has to buy her shift a cake because her picture made the page. Police officers really want to be Firefighters. And ran into our old teaching buddy from the college. With Tom Allen and Pat Trunda.

The McHenry County Rehab Canteen assisted the Huntley Fire Protection District, Huntley Fire Fighters Union IAFF Local 4106 at their Box alarm for the Barn and Field fire on Church road. No animals lost. With Pat Trunda.
