The McHenry County Rehab Canteen assisted the Lake Zurich Fire Department at their Box alarm for a multi vehicle fire in a garage with no hydrants. The fellas did a good job on the stop. They used a gel type foam for extinguishment. With Tom Allen and Pat Trunda.

This fundraiser is for an amazing event, kids who have been burned get to go to camp with others who are in the same condition as them for free. Help them out by going to Culver’s in Huntley on June 11th.

Join us at Culver's of Huntley on Thursday, June 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a fundraiser supporting Camp I Am Me by Illinois Fire Safety Alliance. Enjoy dinner while helping send young burn survivors to a life changing camp experience, and meet Huntley firefighters, cadets, and interns throughout the evening.

A portion of sales, along with donations collected during the event, will benefit Camp I Am Me and the programs it provides for burn survivors and their families. Fire apparatus will also be on display, so bring the family and stop by to support a great cause.

Better late than never I guess. The McHenry County Rehab Canteen responded to Wonder Lake Fire on Ramble Road on May 31st. Pat Trunda was there in spirit making sure that Tom Allen did things like he would do. I set up 2 different locations for hydration and snacks. One where the tankers were dumping water and the other where they were fighting the fire. They had 2 houses on fire and aggressively fought both fires.

The McHenry County Rehab Canteen assisted the Spring Grove FPD at their Box alarm fire on Waverly Drive. A certain FF has to buy her shift a cake because her picture made the page. Police officers really want to be Firefighters. And ran into our old teaching buddy from the college. With Tom Allen and Pat Trunda.

The McHenry County Rehab Canteen assisted the Huntley Fire Protection District, Huntley Fire Fighters Union IAFF Local 4106 at their Box alarm for the Barn and Field fire on Church road. No animals lost. With Pat Trunda.

The McHenry County Rehab Canteen went back to assist the
Wonder Lake Fire Protection District this morning on the Box alarm for investigators on last nights explosion and house fire. Due to the heat and humidity, the canteen was a special request. And a Father was able to work with his 2 sons. With Tom Allen and Pat Trunda.

The McHenry County Rehab Canteen went to assist the Wonder Lake Fire Protection District at their box alarm for the house explosion and structure fire. We got to meet 4 Adult Children of people we worked with on either the Fire, Police, or at the College. We're getting old. LOL. With Tom Allen and Pat Trunda.

The McHenry County Rehab Canteen assisted the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District, Woodstock Career Firefighters IAFF Local 4813 at their Box alarm for the older house that was converted to apartments. The missing cat was found by the fire crews. And in family care. With Tom Allen and Pat Trunda.
