Playact Theatre is Northwest Indiana’s home for professional-quality theatre experiences for all ages. Based in the heart of NWI and serving regional audiences, we produce plays and musicals that inspire, entertain, and connect our community. Our mission is simple: build confident performers and powerful storytellers. Whether you’re stepping on stage for the first time or adding to years of experience, we provide the training, guidance, and opportunities to grow your skills and shine in the spotlight. From large-scale productions to intimate performances, acting classes to voice lessons, our programs are designed to meet every performer where they are. We combine professional-level production values with a supportive, creative environment—helping our actors go from shy to showstopper, fast. Each season, we offer:
Mainstage Productions – Professional-quality plays and musicals
Training Programs – Acting, voice, dance, and technical theatre classes
Community Engagement – Outreach, workshops, and partnerships that bring theatre to new audiences
Join us as an audience member, performer, volunteer, or supporter, and be part of a thriving arts community right here in Northwest Indiana.
