I am leaving this page active since there is some information on here that is still relevant. I sold my home and moved my children to a new school over three years ago and have never looked back. My attempts to rally support from parents and the public failed and it is impossible to stand against this administration alone. Good luck to those I've left behind. Crown Point is a wonderful town with wonderful people. It is so sad that the school's mission does not reflect the values of the families and tax payers.

Crown Point School is following the Olweus Bullying Program. If you have questions or concerns about this program I suggest you contact Olweus. In fact Olweus states that "For excellent program results, it is very important that the program be implemented as written (with fidelity to program components and principles). Therefore, I would assume that Olweus would want to know of an ineffective program. Please use this link to contact Olweus.

I believe it is all too easy for a school officials to label behavior not defined in a student handbook as bullying. I believe zero tolerance policies are NOT the answer. School suspensions are overused and positive reinforcement seems to be a things of the past. The targeting of a particular group or student is indeed bullying, whether it be by peers or administrators. I believe an ineffective anti-bullying program is as harmful as there being no program at all.
