😄😊 It's National Smile Day: Featuring Suki's Smile 😊😄
Suki’s big grin could brighten even the cloudiest day, and she’s proof that dogs have a magical way of making us smile right back. 🐶

From their goofy grins after zoomies (or trying to get out of trouble) to those quiet, content smiles when they curl up beside you (or are getting into something they shouldn't), dogs remind us that happiness doesn’t need words. It’s in the wag of a tail, the sparkle in their eyes, and the way they look at you like you’re their whole world...because, you really are. 😍

Suki’s smile says it all...life is better when you share it with someone who loves you unconditionally. 💗
She’s still waiting for her forever family, the ones she’ll wake up smiling with every single day.

Aubrey-area friends - there will be a grid search for Sheba this afternoon at 3PM. If you're in the area and can help, we know they'd be grateful. 💞

🚨 GRID SEARCH-VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Sheba, CASE 483

Our great friends at K-9 Trackers have completed multiple independent scent tracks on Sheba, and all tracks consistently led back to the same grid section. Based on these findings, MMESAR will be conducting a coordinated boots on the ground grid search and needs volunteers to help thoroughly search this section of forest.

Our primary goal is to determine whether Sheba is hiding within this dense section of vegetation. If she is present, our coordinated search effort may apply just enough pressure to encourage her to move from cover and reveal her location.

Volunteers will also be watching for her harness, leash, or any other clues that could help guide ongoing search efforts.

While we remain hopeful that Sheba is alive and still in the area, this operation will also help us thoroughly clear this section of the search grid and bring us one step closer to answers for Sheba and her family.

We hope you'll stop by and see us tomorrow (5/30) at the Community Market at the park in Crossroads. The market starts at 8AM, and we'll be there around 9AM.
There are more vendors than ever and live music. Come out and support local businesses with a wide variety of items. 🛒
Marty, Andi, Leda, Riley, Koi, and Kiryu will be there. This will be Marty's first meet-and-greet, and it'll be Riley's first time at the park. These are all awesome pups! Kiryu loves absolutely everyone of all ages, and he'll let you pet him all morning if you've had a bad week and need a little dose of love in your life! 🖤💖

🐶😍 MARTY 😍🐶
We've got sweet Marty's heartwom treatment scheduled in a couple weeks. We thought he deserved a little spa day to get him all cleaned up and his coat brushed out. 🛁
The awesome team at Woofie's of Frisco-McKinney took great care of him this morning! He looks and smells great and feels like a whole new pup! 🤩
He was so excited to show off for his foster siblings, he got the zoomies...but then, he crashed HARD. 😴
This boy is so smart and just soaks up all the love. 💖 He's going to bring so much joy to a lucky family once he's gone through his treatment and recovery. 🙌

💙🐾 Not All Transformations Are Visible - Marty 🐾💙
We’ve been quiet about Marty, not because nothing was happening, but because EVERYTHING was.

Marty didn’t come to I Am Dog Rescue sick or injured. He came in like a 65‑lb, 10‑week‑old puppy. Sweet as could be, but wild. Zero manners. Zero structure. Zero idea how to “dog” in a family. 😧

He was a whirlwind. 🌪️ He was a little Tasmanian devil who zoomed through the house, climbed the fence chasing squirrels, overwhelmed every dog he met, & hated the crate with every fiber of his being. His foster family loved him instantly. But WOW, was he a challenge! 🙀

And here’s the part we don’t talk about enough:
This is rescue too. The messy parts. The exhausting parts. The “what do we do now?” parts. 😩

With the help of Dawn at Amazing Dog, who provided compassionate, practical guidance, Marty’s foster family got the tools they needed. And then they did the hard work. The patient work. The consistent work.

And slowly, Marty began to change. 🌄

Marty is calmer. Happier. More confident.
He can be in the yard & watch squirrels instead of launching himself after them. 🐿️
He can play with his foster siblings without overwhelming them. 🐶
He can hang out in the house without constant zoomies.
And maybe most importantly? He can rest in his crate. Relaxed. Peaceful. Safe. ☮

That last part matters more than most people know.
Marty will soon undergo heartworm treatment, which means 30 days of strict crate rest. Helping him learn to feel secure in that space wasn’t optional. It was essential. 💯

You may not see a huge difference in his pictures between now and then, but we are so proud of Marty.
And we are endlessly grateful for his foster family, who didn’t give up when things got hard. Many would have thrown in the towel. They chose commitment, compassion, and growth, and Marty is thriving because of it.

This is the kind of transformation your support makes possible.
Not just the visible ones… but the ones that change a dog’s entire future. 💛🐾

🥹🙌🐕 This is What Love Can Do 🐕🙌🥹
10 1/2 weeks ago, Andi and Leda arrived at I Am Dog Rescue in heartbreaking shape. Their little bodies covered in mange, skin raw and painful, spirits exhausted from surviving more than any puppies ever should.
But, today? You won’t believe these are the same girls!
💪 They are healthy.
😊 They are joyful.
🫶 They are alive in every way that matters.
Their foster family has poured their whole hearts into them, and it shows.
These two are smart, fearless, silly, clever little miracles. 👏
They love other dogs, they’re learning to love people, and they’ve decided toys and bones are basically the best things on earth. 🤩
They’re potty trained, bell trained, crate trained, working on leash manners, and already know several commands. They come when called (most of the time), and they’re practicing sit, down, and stay. And just look at them! They're gorgeous!
Their transformation didn’t happen by accident.
It happened because a foster family opened their home. 🏡
Because supporters like you showed up. 🙋‍♀️🙋
