Showy milkweed (Asclepias speciosa) is an eye-catching CA native plant for any pollinator garden!🦋🌸🌻

In the summer months, showy milkweed is covered in fragrant blooms to feed all your favorite bees 🐝 , butterflies 🦋 , and hummingbirds 🪺, and then will sleep (go dormant) during the winter.

Last Saturday folks from Revival Coffee, Crockett community members, and the CREEC crew gathered together to plant CA native plants. It was a beautiful day and was so lovely to get to know folks in the community and work together to bring more beauty and ecological diversity to the land.

Thank you so much to Revival Coffee for partnering with us and offering up their space and delicious beverages, to all the members of the community who chose to spend their Saturday getting their hands dirty with us, to Jena for supporting the planting, and to Sockna who maintains and started the CA native plant garden at Revival!
