💜 145 boxes of Narcan. 145 chances to save a life.

Today, four of our HAVEN coalition members were out making a difference across Webster Springs and Cowen!

Amanda Skeens and Lindsay Jordan distributed Narcan through Camden Family Health, while Robin Cutlip distributed through B.A.R.E and Anna Casey with Webster County FRN provided additional resources along with snacks and hygiene bags at each location.

Together, they distributed 145 boxes of Narcan into our communities.

Different organizations. One community. One goal—saving lives. 💜

Try replacing:

“How was school?”

with:

“What was the best, worst and weirdest part of your day?”

Specific questions are often easier for kids to answer than a big, open-ended question.

You might get more than “fine” this time. 😉

💬 ASK YOUR KID THIS

“Who are three adults you know you could go to if you needed help?”

Their answers might be you, a grandparent, teacher, coach, counselor, neighbor or someone else they trust.

The important part is making sure they can name someone.

And if they can’t? That’s a great place to start a conversation. 💜

Every young person deserves to know they aren’t alone.

💜 PREVENTION STARTS WITH CONNECTION

Sometimes the most important conversations with our kids start with one simple question.

This weekend, ask your child:

💬 “What’s something you wish adults understood better about kids your age?”

Then just listen.

You don’t have to give advice. You don’t have to fix anything. Give them the chance to tell you what life looks like from their point of view.

Those little conversations help build the kind of relationship where our kids know they can come to us when the bigger things happen.
