When young children feel overwhelmed, they often need our support before they can use a calming strategy.

💜 Try getting down to their level and just be present.
💜 Calmly say: "I am here."
💜 "We can work through this together."

This is co-regulation. At ABC's of Calm, we help educators and caregivers bring these small meaningful moments into everyday routines.

✨ Big news for ABC's of Calm--we have received our first grant! We are so excited and grateful for this support as we help early childhood educators give young children the tools to understand their feelings, build self-regulation skills and feel supported.

This is an exciting first step toward bringing our training and materials to childcare programs across RI. 😀
