A huge thank you to our judges for making the final show of our buckle series such a success!

Thank you to Jake Flint for putting on an awesome clinic and spending time helping our kids improve their leads, spins, backing, and shoulder control. We truly appreciate you making the trip to work with our kids and then judging our final show of the series. Your knowledge, encouragement, and willingness to help our clubs means so much!

A big thank you as well to Sharon Tharp for stepping in to judge our trail class and helping our day run much smoother. We are so grateful you came to the rescue!

We appreciate both Jake and Sharon for donating their time to our club and sharing their experience with our 4-H members. Thank you for investing in our club we hope to have you both back again in the future!

⭐️ Patterns for the show tomorrow! ⭐️

Just as a reminder today the clinic will start 4:00 and end at approximately 5:30.

Tomorrow check in opens at 8:00 and the show starts at 9:00. There will be a quick trail walkthrough at 9:00 on the dot. As soon as that is done, we will go right into our regular show schedule!

Trail will be running as an open block from 10:00-1:00 in a separate arena!

There will be drinks and food available for purchase throughout the day.

We will be doing a dollar ride competition at the very end of the show, so don’t forget to bring a dollar! High point awards will be awarded following the dollar ride!

We look forward to seeing you all there!

After practice yesterday, our 4-H kids spent their time helping clean up the rodeo grounds. Thanks to all of their hard work, we filled an entire trailer with items to take to the dump!

Way to step up and give back to our community. Great job, kids!

🍀 ⭐️ State Horse Judging ⭐️ 🍀

What a great weekend at the Idaho State 4-H Horse Judging Contest! I couldn’t be more proud of this group of kids.

For a lot of them, this was their very first year ever competing in horse judging, and they worked hard enough to earn a trip to state. Watching their confidence grow throughout the season has been so rewarding. They learned so much, challenged themselves, and gained experience that they’ll carry with them for years to come.

A huge congratulations to Elise Shumway and her team for placing 5th overall! What an awesome accomplishment!

No matter the placings, every one of these kids should be proud of what they achieved. They represented our county with great attitudes, supported each other, and never gave up. Thank you to everyone who helped make this season possible. I’m already looking forward to seeing what these kids accomplish next year!

The Cuddy Mountain Riders 4-H Club has their final clinic and show of the buckle series on July 16th and 17th! Come join us at the Adams County Rodeo Grounds!

We will be awarding 4 buckles and four show pads. One for each division!

We’re looking forward to a great turnout and hope both youth and adult riders will come join us for this fun and educational event.

This buckle series is a fundraiser for our club, and we truly appreciate all the support from our community. We can’t wait to see everyone there!

Our clinician and judge for our final show is Jake Flint.

Jake Flint is an Idaho-based professional horse trainer known for his development of reined cow horses and versatile performance prospects. With extensive experience starting and progressing young horses, throughout his career, Jake understands what it truly takes to build a horse from the ground up; physically, mentally, and emotionally.

His program emphasizes patience, feel, and clear communication, creating horses that are confident, willing, and competitive. Bringing out the best in each horse is what has defined his competitive success. With experience competing at major events and mentoring riders at multiple levels, Jake brings a deep respect for foundational horsemanship and the mental side of training to his role as a judge.
