A Heartfelt Thank You to National Disaster Search Dog Foundation ❤️🐾
Dark Skies Search Dogs would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation for awarding Handler Kelly Werner a grant through their Healthcare Fund to cover K9 Juxsyn’s recent appointment at Cornell University.
Working search dogs give so much of themselves in service to others, and access to specialized veterinary care is an important part of keeping these incredible partners healthy and able to continue doing what they are called to do.
This grant covered Juxsyn’s care and allowed us to focus on giving him the best possible veterinary evaluation without that financial burden standing in the way.
There are so few resources available to volunteer K9 handlers, the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation has truly been amazing in recognizing that need and stepping in to support handlers and their K9s when it matters most. Their generosity means more than we can put into words, and we are incredibly grateful for the care and commitment they continue to show to the search dog community. 🐾💚
