Yahoo we have an update for Ranger! "Our family welcomed Ranger into our home and hearts on July 29th. This past month, he has become very comfortable as a McFarlane! We are seeing his true personality more each day.

Ranger loves to play outside! We have 40 acres that have been fun for him to explore! Each morning and evening, Ranger goes for nature walks with Travis. He still gets plenty of outdoor free-reign time. Our backyard is also fenced in, and he enjoys being outside with the family when the kids are on the trampoline, playing sports, and just hanging out.
Ranger came to us with a lot of knowledge- he’s a very smart boy. Travis is working with him on “heel” as well as fetch. The two of them enjoy a game of throwing the retrieving dummy in tall grass and Ranger needs to sniff it out. He’s getting very good at this game!
Ranger loves us as much as we love him! He is happiest when all of his people are home! Each night, he’ll lay in bed with Travis and I to snuggle. When it’s time to sleep, he lays on his bed, next to ours, and needs to be covered up with his blanket. He sleeps very well through the night! When our alarms go off in the morning, Ranger hops back up in bed for some much appreciated snuggle time! Ranger is a good protector. When the kids are in bed, he’ll periodically check on them as well. "
Sounds like Ranger is living the best life!!💙🐾🐾

We love when we get updates on adopted pups!! We got an update on Hope(Pink)! "Hope is doing wonderful. She is very happy to take long 2 to 4 mile walks through the mountains every day. She has a nice backyard with a fence that she can explore and find critters. Here are a few of our favorite pictures. She is a beloved member of our family and gets to snuggle every night wherever she chooses. She is spoiled to say the least!" What a lucky girl. 🩷🐾☺

Yahoo we have a one year update for Zoey!! Her family said "Zoey has been doing great! She's a total sweetheart with a very strict rest schedule. She let's us know every night after dinner that it is couch time and doesn't return to high energy pointer until the sun comes up. Our lab Zeely gets a bit annoyed because every moment is fetch time to her not couch time! She also shares a love of water with her lab sister, especially with a frisbee involved.
Zoey is always found with a stuffie or squeaky toy around the house. She likes to arrange her toys to have one always available... Usually found in a neatly deposited line going through the main traffic area of the house. In typical pointer fashion, she insists on a very fixed dinner time and reminds us for the hour prior with a soulful whistling. She is also an observant house supervisor, inspecting groceries and deliveries when they arrive. She's a hoot! " Sounds like Zoey is living her best life!!🩷🐾☺

The WGSPR family would like to express our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Mark Schmidt. Mark’s unexpected passing last week has saddened our entire WGSPR family, and we mourn the loss of a valued friend, volunteer, and supporter.

Mark loved his GSPs and was deeply dedicated to WGSPR. He was the kind of person who would drop everything to help a GSP in need. Over the years, he generously volunteered his time assessing dogs entering rescue, conducting home visits for prospective adopters and foster families, transporting dogs, assisting with fundraising efforts, and fostering many dogs. His compassion and commitment touched countless lives, both canine and human. Perhaps most of all, Mark was a proud "foster fail" adopter, opening his heart and home to dogs that became cherished members of his family. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to the breed and rescue community made a lasting difference. Mark will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the entire WGSPR family.

Hi Everyone, Jimmy here. I am still looking for my family. Please do not be turned off by my anxiety issues and hypothyroidism. My foster family has been working with me to improve my separation anxiety. I have been alot better in the Ruffland kennel and now I can be gated off in the kitchen with no issues. My foster family does have family members let me out during the day so it is not such a long day without my humans.

My hypothyroidism is well managed by medications that is really inexpensive. For my size, the cost is $30.00 for 120 tablets which lasts me 2 months.

I am really lovable and love nothing more than to snuggle and please my humans.

Please consider getting approved to meet me. I know once you meet me, you will fall in love with me.

Love Jimmy
