We are well into planning the 2026 Summer Agriculture Institute! This year, SAI will be held June 15-19 in Corvallis. SAI is a three-credit, week-long, graduate-level class through Oregon State University that educates Oregon K-12 teachers who have little or no background in agriculture.

The goal of SAI is to help educators use agriculture as a context for teaching core academic subjects—science, math, social studies, and English. Reach out or check out our website to find out more!

🎨 Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom is excited to once again announce its annual Calendar Art Contest!

🧑🏻‍🎨Students in grades K-6 are allowed to enter, and artwork must feature Oregon agriculture. Thirteen lucky winners will be selected, and each winner will receive $50. Winners will also have their artwork featured in the 2026-27 School-Year Calendar.

Century High School's students are at it again! Oregon State Dairy Princess Ambassador Cydney Stables presented to biology classes on the dairy industry - where does cheese come from? How does milk get to the grocery store? And so much more!

Curious what the 2025 SAI attendees are up to? Touring farms, of course! Biology students at Century High School had lots of fun visiting the Working Theory Farm in Hillsboro, OR, after doing a lesson on Oregon agriculture using the resources provided at SAI.
