Neptune Hose Co #1 of Dryden Inc. Dryden Ambulance Inc.

A very busy day for Dryden Ambulance crews. Ten calls between 8AM and noon had all three ambulances and crews out all at once most of the morning.

Here they are all neatly parked at Cayuga Medical Center Emergency Department earlier. (Even in numerical order 😊)

Dryden Ambulance is a community based & supported 501(c) not-for-profit corporation proudly serving Dryden and surrounding communities for 50 years with advanced life support ambulance service.

Brief Narrative of Incident:

On August 9, 2026 at approximately 4:45 PM, Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of State Route 11, in the Town of Virgil, for a one-car personal injury automobile crash. Officers determined that the operator was traveling northbound on State Route 11 before traveling off the roadway and into a telephone pole. The occupants received minor injuries from the collision and denied medical attention.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Virgil Fire Department, Ron’s Towing and National Grid.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our own, K9 Frenky passed on August 8, 2026. K9 Frenky joined the Cortland County Sheriff's Office in 2015 and he was retired from service in 2020. K9 Frenky was certified in tracking, article search, patrol and advanced narcotics detection at the time of his retirement, he spent his entire career under the watch of Lieutenant Natoli. Thank you K9 Frenky for your dedicated service to Cortland County.

A couple of calls are going on at the moment.

Virgil Fire Rescue & Marathon Ambulance are at US Route 11 & Regan Rd for a one-vehicle MVC with injuries. The vehicle took out a pole and went down over an embankment.

Virgil 10-61, Virgil 10-01 & MAVAC 16-52 are assigned to this call.

2nd.
Cortlandville Fire Rescue & Marathon Ambulance are going to Mile Marker 43.3, I-81 Southbound, for a One-Vehicle MVC, Vehicle into a tree, Unknown on Injuries. TLC Ambulance has also been dispatched to assist on this call.
