- When the ask was made - our amazing community volunteers did not hesitate and got them done in a weeks time. Big thank you to our amazing community volunteers, Matthew and Kylie Rohmfeld, for helping construct six monofilament recycling tubes that will be installed on Bob Hall Pier! 🎣♻️ Cassie Rohmfeld and Matthew William Rohmfeld

This effort was made possible through the collaboration of Nueces County Coastal Parks, Island Pride–Padre Island, Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, and the Sea Grant Program, along with the support of our wonderful community.

Together, we’re working to keep our precious sea life safe and tangle-free. Please remember to discard your fishing line properly and use the recycling tubes when you visit the pier! 🌊🐢

🚧💧 Flooding Fix in Progress! 💧🚧

Great news for our community—street flooding at Park Road 22 and Aquarius is being addressed! This was a true team effort made possible through the hard work and collaboration of our Island Pride team, PIPOA, the City, and Kaylynn Paxon, who was instrumental in coordinating with Island Pride and the City to help make this happen. ‘

These improvements will make our streets safer when it rains, and this is just the beginning. Stay tuned for more exciting updates for this space! 👀✨

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our incredible volunteers and Island Pride team that gave your all in ensuring the Holiday Lights Event was a huge event. From decorating, face painting, singing christmas carols, providing donations, to serving AMAZING hot chocolate, operating the snow globe, inflating balloons, handing out bubbles, candy canes and noses, and photographing families with Santa—your dedication made this event a success. We are grateful to be able to count on such a supportive and committed community. Thank you for always being willing to help.

🎄✨ Holiday Lights & Tree Lighting – ✨🎄Get ready to kick off the holiday season island style!

Our island will transform into a holiday wonderland with:

❄️ A giant Snow Globe you can step inside
🎨 Face Painting for kids (and fun adults!)
🎶 Carolers filling the air with festive cheer
💃 Holiday Dancers lighting up the stage
🎅 And of course… a visit from SANTA himself!
