Coastal Bend Cat Rescue

Our rockstar mama, Miss Masque, has graduated from foster care! Miss Masque came in with her 4 little Comic Book Icons months ago. She was a scrawny young mom, but did the best job raising her babies. She was held when her babies graduated for a minor injury, and then we took in the kittens. These 6 babies were younger than expected and needed bottle feeding…and we didn’t have enough available bottle feeders! But Miss Masque saved the day! Despite already weaning her babies she adopted the Orphans and we were able to keep them together with a foster who could supplement them with a couple of bottles a day while she nursed them until they were eating regular food. She’s definitely a superhero mom! She’s now the sweetest, sassy, chunk of a cat looking for a purrfect home where she never has to be a mom again!

Pip, Peter Pan, Heidi, Cosette, Oliver Twist and Anne of Green Gables have all graduated foster care as well and are available for adoption! They are confident, adventurous and cuddly and will thrive in any home.

CBCR Family we need your help!!!

This weekend, Corpus Christi Animal Care Services put out a call to rescues for two injured 2 1/2-week-old kittens. Both boys came in with infected injuries and needed immediate help to avoid euthanasia. After looking at their photos and assessing our resources, we took them in.

Introducing Salt and Pepper, our kittens.

Once we got the boys to their foster and got a better look at their wounds, we realized they were more extensive than we thought originally. Pepper is missing most of his tail and has a split on his back paw. Both of his wounds are healing well and do not show signs of infection. Salt, on the other hand, has wounds on both left paws, and both have significant infections. He also isn’t using his back leg well.

Due to the extent of their wounds, we are getting these boys to a vet as soon as possible, and that’s where we need your help. Based on our initial evaluation, it does look like Salt will most likely be in for a long road to recovery and likely amputation. We are expecting multiple vet bills to help get him healthy. If you are able to donate, we appreciate any amount to help him. Can’t donate? Like, comment and share to help us reach others who may be able to contribute.

Congrats to the River Run kittens!! Graduation looks good on them🎓🥳

This group might have started at the River Run, but they ended up around the Coastal Bend….at The Cattery!

Kayak, Rock, Chute, Tube, and Float are excited to meet some families this weekend. Rapids and Swing needed a little extra time to make some gains before they could paddle over and meet their siblings. We will let you know as soon as they are ready.

If you would like to meet or adopt one of the River Run kittens please email the Cattery at:

We’ve got some good news!

Pita, part of our All Wrapped Up litter, has graduated! Pita came to us with his two siblings - Roti and Tortilla - in the first week of August.

Sibling Tortilla came in with severe neurological symptoms and was transferred to Texas Cat Collation who have more experience with his needs.

Both remaining siblings have had their own needs, including struggling to gain weight as a normal kitten. But we are happy to announce Pita made it to graduation.

Roti will continue in foster care to continue gaining weight and getting healthy to be ready for adoption !

If you would like to meet Pita, please reach out to The Cattery to schedule an adoption appointment via email:
