Let's all show up and Show out for Millee Kate!!

🎗️ NEXT SATURDAY, WE’RE RACING FOR SOMETHING BIGGER. 🎗️

Some battles are bigger than anything that happens on a racetrack.

DIPG — Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma — is a rare, fast-growing brain tumor that primarily affects children. It develops in the pons, an area of the brain stem responsible for many vital functions. In the United States, approximately 300 children are diagnosed with DIPG each year. Because of its location and the way it grows into surrounding healthy tissue, DIPG remains incredibly difficult to treat. (National Cancer Institute)

For one local family, these aren’t just statistics.

This is their child.
This is their reality.
This is childhood cancer. 🎗️

Right now, there are uncertainties surrounding her future that no family should ever have to face. Along with the fear, appointments, treatments and unanswered questions comes another reality — the financial strain that can accompany caring for a child battling cancer.

We can’t take that fear away.

We can’t answer all of those questions.

But we CAN stand beside this family and remind them that they aren’t fighting alone.

🏁 Thunder Mountain Speedway is giving back.

Next Saturday October 10th, $5 from EVERY grandstand admission and EVERY pit pass sold will be donated directly to the family.

And during intermission, we’re asking our drivers to do something special.

🏎️ Our drivers will bring their helmets into the grandstands and pass them through the crowd for a “Donation of Love.”

If you can give $1, give $1.
If you can give $5, give $5.
If you can give more, give more.

Every dollar matters.

But more than anything, we want this family to look into those grandstands and see an entire racing community standing behind them.

For one night, the wins, losses, points and trophies take a back seat.

This is bigger than racing.
