Oregon High School Chess Team Association We encourage chess in high schools and middle schools and sponsor the state championships where all Oregon school teams can get together and compete.

For 6th - 12th grade chess players: Next year the championships will be held at Lincoln High School in Portland! It will most likely be during the first two weeks of March. Get your teams together! Varsity Teams 9th-12th grade
Junior Varsity Teams 6th-12th grade
Middle School Teams 6th-9th grade
Teams are made up of five players with strongest player on first board. Get some practice at your regions Chess League. Our OHSCTA internet site lists contacts to get involved.

The Oregon High School Chess Team State Championships will be held February 27th and 28th at Cottage Grove High School. Details are at http://ohscta.org/ and click Championship. Team eligibility criteria are listed in the Const's Bylaws sectioon Article VII. 6th-12th grade are invited to attend and can register as an individual if no school team and we will assign you a position on an open team.
