TO ALL WHO CAME TO THE FIRST GARDEN CLUB MEETING, THANK YOU!! WOOT!!
I think we had a GREAT mix of experiences and goals, just what we wanted🙏

To recap what was discussed🗣️
🌱Goal of Garden Club: to get a garden in every possible backyard for food security, helping others who can't, and passing the passion and knowledge for growing our own food to young people before it disappears.
👌Group consensus, for now, is leaning towards ORGANIC methods. (knowing NPK traditional is more effective quickly)
😒Why did peppers suck last year? (not enough P&K, Ph issues too high, too much N, sub par pollination as possible causes to fix this year)
💩 ISO horse and cow manure free of herbicides. (or ones that are non detectable within a week)
🥫Looking for start to finish support. (starts, plants, fertilizer, preservation. (some people with a lot of experience with canning came)
💦 Drip irrigation people with experience showed up and offered to help anyone get started. Game changer for consistent crops!
❤️ A COPLEY Community Garden and Farmer's Market were spoken into the Ether!!
NEXT MEETING PRIORITIES
1. Bring your garden plan, or we will help each other
2. When and what we are planting this year
3. Help constructing raised beds and drip irrigation (budgets and muscle)
4. COPLEY FM & CG brainstorming proposals
5. Better snacks
6. Steve Seyerle stop calling soil, dirt!
7. Chicken talk for new coups this year
See you all April 5th, I am so thankful and excited!
You need ZERO experience to join the club, NO politics, NO judgement. Garden Club is for EVERYONE!
