Both men and women can get pancreatic cancer, but it’s more common in older adults. In the United States, pancreatic cancer is relatively rare but has been increasing over the years. Coos County has one of the higher rates in Oregon and the nation. It's not clear why. Because the symptoms can mirror other illnesses, early detection and treatment are key to fighting pancreatic cancer.
