Brighter Future Fund is getting ready for our Back to School Bash to help single parents and grandparents raising grandchildren with backpacks, school supplies, and practical support before the school year starts.

Back-to-school season gets expensive fast, and for many households, supplies come on top of rent, groceries, utilities, and everything else life is already demanding.

You can help by giving:

Back-to-school isn’t “just a backpack” for a lot of families — it’s the bill that pushes everything over.

Brighter Future Fund Inc. is officially opening our Back to School Bash Fund to bridge that gap for single parents, grandparents raising grandkids, and underserved families who are already choosing between rent, lights, and school supplies.

You can help in two ways:
• Monetary donations to stock backpacks and cover core supplies
• New supplies from our approved list

What it means that BFF is a 501(c)(3) 💚

BFF (Brighter Future Fund) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

In plain terms, that means:
• We’re recognized as a charitable organization
• We operate for community benefit, not profit
• Most donations are eligible to be tax-deductible for the donor (if they itemize – always check with your tax preparer)

Types of support that can count as charitable contributions include things like:
• Monetary donations (cash, card, online, check)
• New backpacks and school supplies
• New hygiene items and essentials
• Gift cards used by BFF to purchase items for families

As we grow, being a 501(c)(3) helps us:
• Apply for grants
• Partner with businesses, churches, and community groups
• Provide proper donation acknowledgments for anyone who needs them

We’ll share more soon about specific projects (like our Back to School Bash) and how donations are used, but this is the foundation we’re building on.

We launched at the end of this year and can’t wait to see what 2026 brings. We’ll officially start helping families next year, so stay tuned, hit follow, and grow with us as we get ready to serve our community.

💜 Where Brighter Future Funds Is Right Now

Brighter Future Funds is a brand new, small nonprofit in the Upper Cumberland.

The donations we’ve received so far for Christmas 2025 are already committed to a few specific families we’re helping this year. Because of that, we are not currently accepting general requests for assistance.

Right now, we’re focused on:
• Building our presence in the community
• Growing our donor base and resources
• Putting clear systems in place so that when we say “yes,” we can actually follow through

We know the need is huge, and we truly wish we could help everyone. For now, we’re starting small and honest instead of overpromising.
