I grew up with conservative values. In high school and college, I was involved with the Young Republicans, and I’ve worked on several Republican presidential campaigns. When I first considered this race, I even picked up a Republican petition.

But the more I thought about it, and especially after the Tennessee GOP changed its bylaws, it became clear to me that the County Clerk’s office shouldn’t be about party politics at all.

This role is about service, efficiency, and doing the job right for every single person who walks through the door, regardless of how they vote.

Yes, I bring conservative values like accountability, fiscal responsibility, and hard work. But more importantly, I bring the education, experience, and commitment to serve everyone in Putnam County: fairly, professionally, and without political bias.

When my youngest was “little” he loved the book The Gruffalo. Of course, we lost his copy of the book in the fire, but yesterday I found a copy at a yard sale. I had to buy it and and read it to my little “Griffalo” (my nickname for him when he was younger).

What were your kids favorite books as a child?

I’m not running for County Clerk just because the current Clerk is stepping down. I’m running because I’m already in the office regularly, I understand the services it provides, and I see firsthand where we can do better. I know how to play a key role in taking what’s already good and making it even better.

Two years ago today, our family faced one of the most defining moments of our lives. In a single day, we lost every material possession we had.

But what we didn’t lose is what truly matters, and it’s what carries us forward today: our faith in Jesus Christ, our love for one another, and our deep connection to this incredible community.

Through that trial, we leaned on our faith and stood strong as a family, trusting that God would guide us through. What we didn’t fully expect was just how powerfully our community would show up.

The support, prayers, and generosity we received were overwhelming in the best possible way. You reminded us what it truly means to live in Putnam County, that we take care of each other.

We are forever grateful. And that gratitude is a big part of why I’m running, to give back to the community that lifted us up when we needed it most.

One last nostalgic post from my childhood. You knew it was going to be a good night when you got to visit Wheeler’s! I loved the color game. Was it just me or did every kid in the 70’s and 80’s know how to skate?

Earlier today I was thinking back to my childhood and all the fun things we use to do in elementary school. Every year, the best days were when this guy, (Fireman Bruce) would come to school and teach us about fire safety! Kids nowadays will never know what they are missing!

To say my signs have been a hit is an understatement. However, this would not have been possible without this guy right here! Chad Morgan with www.oldguystudios.com, is the mastermind behind the design. He took something that was rolling around in my head and knocked it out of the park!
