GFWC Cookeville Junior Woman's Club For 55+ years, we have been dedicated to enhancing lives in Cookeville through volunteer service.

The GFWC Cookeville Junior Woman’s Club is part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), which is one of the world’s largest and oldest nondenominational, nonpartisan, international volunteer service organization of women. The GFWC Cookeville Junior Woman’s Club focuses on multiple Community Service Programs and other Special Programs to help address the current and upcoming needs of our community.

On Friday, June 7, several of our members volunteered for The Exceptional Bean Summer Soiree hosted at Fire + Vine.

The event helps to raise money to support their mission to continue creating meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

If you missed this year's event, be sure to watch for tickets to go on sale for next year.

Members Shari Weber Bradley and La Tisha Seidler met with Amanda Scott, CRMC Foundation Events Coordinator from the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation to explore ways the GFWC Cookeville Junior Woman's Club could support “A Woman’s Heart” 2027 Event.

Thank you Amanda for the tour of your facility and sharing the many ways CMRC Foundation responds with compassion when neighbors face illnesses or medical crisis.

It is touching how the foundation works with providers in 14 counties to care for Upper Cumberland residents charitable healthcare needs.

We thank you and your team for all you do to serve our communities!

The GFWC Cookeville Junior Woman's Club was honored to visit the Rotary Club of Cookeville Breakfast to share our mission, legacy, and passion for serving the Upper Cumberland community.

We enjoyed the opportunity to talk about the heart behind our organization, the impact of our projects, and our commitment to making a difference to volunteerism, advocacy, and community partnerships.

As the oldest nonprofit organization in Cookeville, we are proud of our legacy of service and excited about the future, as we continue to grow, become more visible, and serve with purpose.

As another school year comes to a close, the GFWC Cookeville Junior Woman's Club would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the teachers, administrators, and staff of the Putnam County Schools (TN) School System for the love, dedication, and encouragement you pour into the lives of the students each and every day!

Thank you for your commitment to education, your patience, your leadership, and the countless ways you make a difference in our community. Your hard work helps shape the future of our children and inspires the next generation to grow, learn, and succeed.

We hope each of you enjoy a well-deserved, relaxing summer filled with rest, joy, and time for loved ones.

Memorial Day

This Federal holiday observed on the last Monday in May commemorates the men and women who died while in military service.

All Americans are encouraged to pause, wherever they are, at 3:00 PM local time for a moment of silence.

Not happy Memorial Day! This holiday that marks a solemn remembrance of everyone who died serving their country. It is supposed to be a day of mourning the lost and appreciating their sacrifice.

The GFWC Cookeville Junior Woman's Club thank the families of the men and women who gave their lives for our freedom❤️
