The Upper Cumberland Women's Club was established to educate, inspire and motivate women. Membership is $25 annually.

The Upper Cumberland Women's Club was established to educate, inspire and motive women so they will be empowered to achieve their personal, civic, and professional goals. Our organization will serve as an avenue for networking, fellowship, and support through speakers and programs providing information for personal and professional growth. The Upper Cumberland Women's Club is dedicated through philanthropic activities to address the critical needs of women in our community. We, the women of The Upper Cumberland Women's Club, will advocate for education, women's health, diversity, and inclusiveness recognizing the potential of each individual's value to contribute to the organization, home, and community. Our members meet bimonthly at 12p CST for a lunch & learn, and we get together throughout the year for mixers, community events, shared interests, and often simply just as friends. We appreciate the time you're taking from your busy schedule to explore our organization, and hope you consider joining us!

A little about our guest speaker, Amy Ing -

A Tennessee native, Amy has called Cookeville home for over 30 years. She earned her degree in psychology from Tennessee Tech University and shares a lovingly restored home on Dixie Avenue with her husband, Martin, and their three grown children.

Amy’s lifelong passion for the arts began early in dance, marching band, and choir, with local theater serving as her favorite creative escape. In 2019, that passion turned into a business when she co-founded Spotlight Costumes alongside partner Anthony Herd. Despite opening right before the pandemic, Amy, Anthony, and their talented team worked diligently to grow the company. Today, they supply professional-grade costumes and props to schools, community theaters, and events across Tennessee and surrounding states—helping every performer look and feel the part.

When she isn’t dreaming up a wardrobe for the stage, Amy enjoys traveling, hiking, coffee with friends, and a good book. For her, bringing stories to life—and catching a night at the theater as an audience member—remains a constant source of joy.

WE HAVE PICKED 5 APPLICANTS THIS YEAR!

We are specifically asking for donations of $10, $25, $50, $100 to give more to our scholarship recipients to help them achieve their goals! We have some excellent applications, with trades that are non-traditional to women and some very dedicated and motivated ladies. We will be requesting to meet with the five, to present certificate and check the week of October 12th.
